What we collect when you contact us or book, and what we do with it.

This policy explains what information Lightning Bug Vista Rentals LLC ("we") collects through lightningbugvista.com and when you book or stay at Lightning Bug Vista, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- What you send us. Your name, email, phone number, dates, number of guests and pets, and anything you write when you email, call or fill in a form.
- Booking details. Once direct booking opens, our booking software, Hospitable, will record your contact details, stay details, signed rental agreement and payment status. Card payments are handled by its payment processor; we never see or store your full card number. Bookings made on Vrbo or Airbnb are covered by their privacy policies.
- Site statistics. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views without cookies and without following you to other sites.
- Camera recordings. One exterior camera records video and audio of the driveway and parking area. Recordings are used only for safety and security.
How we use it
- To answer your questions and manage your booking, payments, deposit and check-in.
- To send messages about your stay, including a request for a review afterward.
- To keep the tax and business records the law requires.
- To protect guests, the cabin and our neighbors.
We do not sell your information or share it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- GSM Property Solutions, the local team that manages the cabin, so they can look after your stay.
- Service providers that run the site and bookings for us: Cloudflare (hosting, email and statistics), Web3Forms (delivers messages from the contact form to our inbox), and, once direct booking opens, Hospitable with its payment processor.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, such as tax agencies or a valid legal request.
Cookies
This site does not set cookies. Once direct booking opens, the booking and payment steps run by Hospitable will use the cookies they need to complete a booking securely.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and payment records as long as tax and accounting rules require, and other messages only as long as they're useful for your stay or a later one.
Your choices
Email stay@lightningbugvista.com to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. We'll keep only what the law requires us to keep.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
